Ok, so we are well on our way to creating our 40 level toons of all makes and models. I do have a suggestion as to what we can possibly look at if the remort for toons is a bit away from reality at this time. We can have a new item specially created or feat assigned by the amount of xp we have. Say we max out our toons, and instead of being made to remain limited until we earn boss gear, could we not apply a system to generate or DM generate an item that would be specific to each individual, say with Ras he makes level +40 and reaches another "level", he can be granted an item based on his character class, etc.......It can be xp based with a value of say 10 million xp till the next opportunity to be granted an item, ability, feat, etc..... based on everyone's suggestions... Thoughts and opinions??

An interesting idea to help those of us at 40 stay interested while bosses are being worked on. However I'm sure this would take away from the current road map. Our poor dms hands are full as is! =D

There are some things that can be done to track and maintain experience to PC's after level 40, but they are rather cumbersome with no real advantage. Scripting feats or abilities to a PC that are outside their sphere is also a challenge since some things are hardcoded. The best way would be with items that granted spell-like effects (as you mention). Possibly these items could be paid for with levels and quest points?
Something to consider for sure! That is, if Remorts are out (and so far, I don't think they are- they are just not ready for prime time again!). |

I have a suggestion: How about some kind of "prize" a character can claim at level 40 that, when redeemed, sets the character back to level one like remorts did. Nothing game-breaking or overpowered of course. Maybe an upgrade to a clan hall or goon, or maybe ONE piece of boss-gear, or a set amount of quest points.. Imagine the 'Wish' spell from pen and paper =)
Re-leveling our level 40's would allow us to make small changes in our builds that we didn't like (skill selection for example) and allow us to once again hunt in groups with lower levels. Isn't adventuring together again what we are all here for?

Well I can say the MORFs are a great addition to the game!! I would HIGHLY recommend that the GENIE be brought back for magic users to use. The genie would look like the icy matrons from the days of old.........
