Hey all, got a small problem that happens every time i make a new character: - I make a new character
- I press play
- It drops me in Newbie Dungeon as it is supposed to
- It doesn't load the Newbie Screen; instead it redirects me into Shandy w/ out Recall stone or Newbie Quest done
- When I try to get back into Newbie Dungeon it won't let me w/ out DM help
EDIT: - I logged out then back in and it dumped me in Newbie Dungeon as it was supposed to at first, no DM help needed...... (odd)

Weird... So with your third bullet- you would be in the Newbie Castle. How does the forth bullet occur? Are you like in the castle and then you are not? Just wondering how it redirects you if you are already in the castle.
It might just be a timing thing. You mention this happens every time you make a new character. Really.. every time?
Newbie quest will not be complete (or even trigger for that matter) if you don't take the tutorial. If you pass on the tutorial, all you will get is the recall stone and you are done- you wont be able to get any goodies in the castle nor fight the critters in the basement.

This happened to me before as well. It fixed itself when I relogged on the character. Basically what I saw happen would be a load screen for Newbie Castle then when it finishes loading it would instantly send me to a load screen for Shandy. When I logged off then on again it did the opposite (Shandy then Newbie Castle)

Ah yes.. that does happen sometimes. I agree. The thing to do in that case is log off and back in. However, if you start playing the game, your quests wont fire, you will never get the recall stone(s) or the Who List. That player Handbook and who list are pretty important.
If you have started playing, see a DM and they can give you the Shandalar recall stone, player handbook and who list. Your toon still might be corrupt though- depending on how much game play you have done...

Pendragon died in Noob Castle and the respawn put him outside the dungeon and he can't get back in.

Noob has got issues. There is no threat in the castle so if he died, he should reconsider adventuring!  Seriously though. How is he dying in the castle? |

Issue is logging out during the newbie dungeon. As a stop gap unless you crash complete the newbie dungeon. If a DM is on you can request a move.

Ok, here is the deal with the Newbie Castle:
1- Its a tutorial- if you take the tutorial you get access to the shop and the two lower levels: Newbie Dungeon/Newbie Graduation Room
2- If you don't take it- you get your recall stone and you must leave.
**two notes: I might be fixing this to automatically boot you if you don't take the quest and, I might be fixing this to not remove the key until you complete the tutorial.
Anything happens outside of these conditions, please see a DM. It IS a NEWBIE CASTLE TUTORIAL afterall!
