Due to the loss of the Master Server, we have had to implement a mild (but effective) security routine. What this means is that when you log in as a player, and you create your PC, your CD will be sored in the database. Each time you log in with that player name, it validates the CD key and if a match, grants you access to your vault of PC's. If not- yer ass is frozen and booted and its logged:o
Though we are trying to prevent your precious PC's from being butchered, under certain circumstances it's possible to lock yourself out. To avoid these pitfalls, use the same Software when logging in (computers don't matter, so long as the same software and key is loaded onto it)
If you F*&#! up, I MIGHT (stress might) be able to assist. Send me a PM with the following and I will attempt to revive you: - Your player login name
- The name of the PC you are dealing with
- The CD key that was associated to it
- The CD key that you want associated to it

Let me clarify this a tad bit more- The CD Key that we store is a unique key generated from the actual software key used to install the game. It's like eight or nine alphanumerical characters and displays in the message stack at the bottom right when you first create a PC. So it will say "Welcome to Redemption "so and so". Your CD key has been stored as "so and so". That key is the key I am saying I need. Not the software key; which is 30 alphanumerical.
So- if you get a mismatch, or your key is no longer valid (e.g. you change software or your key's are "bad) do the following: - Start a new character - Log into the game using the software you wish to use going forward - Copy down the key that is reported to you - Send me the PM with that key and your login name along with the names of the PC's you want
I will attempt to update the database to overwrite the OLD key with the NEW one. This should allow you to access your PC's.
NOTE: I currently am set to accept only ONE key, so if you log in on another computer that has a different software key loaded you wont be able to access your PC's. I do not have a path in place yet to address that.
