I like Redemption is because is is like an old comfortable pair of shoes. I am busy, I have too many obligations to find new games to play. Without redemption I had almost completely stopped gaming. Redemption is a great place to relax and play. Yes, it was often deserted mid week. But, mid week gaming sessions were when I would level, so I would have guys able to keep up on boss runs. Yes, I would often level alone. But it would give me the down time that I would enjoy after work.
The admins are doing a fantastic job with the server. I love the new areas, and I love that the server is back. My only complaint is the up time.
I am one of several people who want to play mid week. And also have been disappointed when the server goes down, or does not come up on weekends. I understand, it is a hobby server, it is not your full time gig.
I have a proposal.
The server could be run thru a game server hosting company. Servers like www.roxservers.com will run a Neverwinter server for less than $150 for 14 users for a year, or 20 users for about $225 for a year.
I propose setting up a go fund me account to acquire the funds to pay for the server for a year. And pay for the server a year at a time. Then do so every year that people still want to support it. I personally have paid $10 a month for games I have played less. That alone would almost cover 14 users, and I don't think I have seen 14 users on in a long time. But it has happened.
I really want something to do mid week evening besides read news and Facebook. Please consider this. I really want my down time back.
