Players who join the Engineers Guild receive a Novice Engineer Recipe for making Brass and White Brass. Now that the Expert and Master levels are now in place and working, will the Engineer Guild Master have the expert and master metal recipes available for purchase for Guild members. Judging from Dan the Man's Bulletin Board there is Bronze, White Bronze,Green Bronze, Steel, White Steel, Blue Steel, Green Steel and Red Steel. Each recipe being more complex than the previous. Two items have been found with incomplete recipes. Bronze and Steel have been found in the Great Hall in Dragons. Does this mean that the recipes are working to make the metals if you have the proper recipe. I have tried variations of copper and tin to make bronze but only lost all the ores. I would like to know what is going on with the metal recipes and are we to purchase them or run around Dominia looking for incomplete recipes to make a good recipe. |

Thinking things over I have a suggestion on the metal recipes. Would it be possible to just have the bronze and steel recipes for purchase from the Engineer Guild master. The colored recipes could be scattered in the various chests that never have anything in them. There is one chest on the upper level in the back by the Werewolf Den. A second chest is down in spiders (not sure which level). A third chest could be the chest in the Hall of Eternal Ice where the key is located in the secret room in Dragons Realm. Also there is the possibility that some recipes could be placed in Mimic Chest. The idea of only getting partial recipes helps make things more interesting. By looking at the Tattered Note and the Tattered Recipe there is one complete recipe for White Steel. Have not tried the recipe because I am not certain that the higher recipes are working. Hope this suggestion helps

Been absent for a bit- sorry about that.
This is a possibility. Part of the problem is just this- how to properly provide access to something so unique. Paying for it is always an option (and simplest) but we don't always go for simple. I like the suggestion and will review this with Hild.
In the meantime, know that ALL recipes are free currently.. albeit scattered throughout The Underdark!

Attempted to make two metals from tattered recipes ( Steel & White Steel)
Steel Recipe calls for 3 Iron, 2 Aluminum and 1 Mithril: Recipe works
White Steel calls for 3 Iron, 1 Aluminum, 2 Silver and 40 Phenalop: Recipe failed
